LizzardsView started this quilt back in 2005 and had all the blocks completed but not the quarter squares. This completion resulted in March 2014, it took a while to actually consider how to put the quilt together. The design that resulted looks good and it was achieved by a quilt as you go technique, where all the blocks were quilted individually and stripped together. I like this technique for large block quilts it does save one physically when using a domestic sewing machine.
At the time of making this quilt back in 2005 with Oatley Cottage Saturday Quilters the decision was that I would not be using my normal colours that usually involved black in some form and thus this taupe quilt evolved. I really love the subtle colours and at present this quilt is a keeper for LizzardsView.
