• It is about time

Thank you Researchers for finally looking into the Vitamin D issue and coming to the conclusion that Australia’s overload of “Slip Slap Slop” campaign has over the years been just that ‘over the top’.

Yes too much hot burning sun will give you skin cancers but note tha too little sun makes the bloody things go feral.

I have nver been a fan of the “Slip Slap Slop” campaign I have always stayed out of the hottest part of the day which is easily achievable when you work during those hours but at the same time when we have miserable weather and your time is taken up with ill family members and you are so tired that you don’t realise how neglectful you are of your own needs.

You need that little break and the sun is usually that warming presence, even though I have be the maintainer of my parents grounds since my eldest brothers cancer journey (interestingly enough he always covered up no matter how hot or cold it was whith long sleeve flannette shirts) and his death I covered my arms and legs when doing grounds which I then only did before 10am and then shut up shop at 10am and went inside and thus no sun was getting to the major portions of my body.

We also know that you have injuries when gardening which was my downfall an injury to my arm via a rose bush attack where two moles where and no sun so feral explosion due to lack of Vitamin D.

Which now I ensure that I get my Vitamin D from the sun and when overcast for a number of days I take the liquid gold in a capsule to ensure that my Vitamin D will never be depleted to a level that it did not even register <13.

Please people do the right thing and get your Vitamin D levels tested all it is is common sense and sadly there has been a period in our supposedly medical history “Slip Slap Slop” campagins that we were led to believe that the medical profession knew it all now due to our strong believe that the medical profession knew it all and people stopped listerning to their bodies needs (primarily that overload need to sit in coffee shops and activities in doors) that our communities are now suffering the consequences.

So anybody thinking of having babies these will be the future generations that will suffer our neglect – so before you start trying for those amazing miracles get out and get your Vitamin D levels checked and get them up before conceiving.
